CONNECTION THROUGH DANCE

Story, body, and human experience
Communication, language, and story are some of our most defining human qualities— alive within the body that speaks, hears, and receives them
This is why we tell stories the way we do.
But our body-led practices do more than spark artistic discovery.
We believe that when we ‘step into’ words and story, we grasp what it is to be human. By attentively navigating unfamiliar, narrative terrain, we deepen empathy for others (and ourselves) while recognising the complex beauty of our shared condition.
How we hold space
We have in-depth experience investigating this way of working across performances, community sessions, and live discussions.
We hold space for people to notice their felt responses to a story, stimulus, or idea, encouraging curiosity and compassion for our own, and each other's, evolving emotional landscapes.
Our practice is rooted in this process of self-enquiry, nourished by wellbeing practices carefully designed in partnership with the organisations Brum Yodo, the Good Grief Festival, and Safe Hands Consultancy.
Our spaces are always built around a duty-of-care, ensuring everyone feels safe, with equal opportunities to feel heard and seen.

Building a sense of community around shared experience is important to us.
Whether building new work, teaching, or delviering a community workshop, our approach includes group-focused creativity and collaborative, improvised seeking within dance or movement, where the challenge in the making and discovery, is part of the joy.
Through shared experience, we learn with and alongside one another — making, responding and discovering together.
